Well the dealer claims they are ready to go with the flash tommorow afternoon. We'll see how it goes this time. I hope there aren't any issues cause I'm running the Jeep out west next week.

It shouldn't ATF+4 is a full synthetic product. It should do a very good job. Chrysler/Jeep is very specific about the spec.s it must be a specific base and very specific additive package. It's under warranty so I'm not getting to worked up over it. They'll get it taken care of one way or the other.

Just joined the forum recently as I have been having numerous problems with my new JK. my transmission seems to be doing exactly what you guys describe. Vibration...hunting...etc. and all at about 1400-1500 rpms. also, the problem is intermitant...has only happened a few times. my JK's build date is 1/07. Do any of the service bulletins apply?

Mine was built in 9/06 I believe... I had it flashed on 2/12 for the shifting - and the torque converter was just replaced this past week. Mine still does the 'grinding' feeling at 1500 rpms... seems to be worse than when they replaced it!! So it makes me wonder, if it's something else now... I've got about 800 more miles, and I'll be back in with my 9000 oil change, for them to check it out again.

ugh. i've seen this on automatics before (including the one i traded-in for the JK). these stupid quirks with autos are at least 75% of the reason i went with a manual this time. hope it all gets fixed for you guys.

I bought the auto because the six-speed manual that we test drove felt like the synchros were already going. slight grinding while upshifting. that and my wife couldn't reach the clutch pedal without having the steering wheel pressed into her chest

i had minr flashed without converter and it did it immediately after i left dealer (didn't have the shudder and didn't know what it felt like until I took it in). after driving for about 30 mins it hasn't done it since. Didn't help the shift points at all...converter still tries to lock up as im accelerating away from toll booth...waiting for superchip or someone to offer flash programmer...
