Default Windshield

So I got my 2013 jk in January and since then I have had two windshields replaced already with cracks in them. Do you guys think a bug/ rock deflector on the hood might help a little?

It's worth a try, but remember, you are driving a box.

What kind of fenders are u running, maybe your own wheels are throwing up the rocks. That happened to me.. I literally seen it launch forward and I couldn't avoid it- bam! ... Mine wasn't a rock- it was a tire balancing weight and no one in front of me to blame..

I'm almost at 30,000 miles on my 2012 JKU. Guess I am just lucky. I don't even have the slightest ding in my windshield.

You are lucky to have no chips or cracks in your windshield after 30K miles.
I ended up with a crack in the windshield when a rock was kicked up by a full size pickup 2 car lengths ahead of me.... after owning the Jeep for only a month.

I don't think anything will help. A rock/chip/bug deflector on the hood really just protects the top part of the hood.

I've got about 11k on my 2012 JK and my window is chipped to hell and has a nice round ding that's starting to sprawl out on the passenger side. I think the glass is cheap, and it's not exactly protected...it's kind of like a big, flat billboard that says "hit me"

I have dings all over my windshield. I have a 2011 and got a good hit about a month after I bought it. Replaced with Jeep windshield about $200. After the second time I just got a generic windshield without the logo or Jeep in the corner. Been driving on that a little over a year and just one tiny chip. I don't know if the stock windshield is easier to brake or if its just luck
