Got mine the day after I drove my Jeep out of the dealer about 3 years ago. It's about 7in long and the only one so far (knocking on wood). Decided to keep the windshield with the "badge" because I'm sure the day after I change it another rock will give my Jeep another badge.

I just had my windshield replaced and was wondering the same thing.

I had a bug deflector on mine from bushwhacker and still had to replace my windshield.

That's because bug deflectors only deflect bugs.

I have an 08 with 65K that has quite a few chips/cracks. I was ready to have it changed, even have an insurance authorization, but it seems that every other day I add a new one. I am just going to go until I can't see out if it, then get a new one...LOL

Didn't have my jeep 12 hours yet, rock kicked up and put a tiny chip. Next day my wife turned on the defrost...it cracked up and all the way across side to side. How it sits today. Safelite wants $290 to replace it...I'm cheap I guess.

Holy crap!!! The same thing happened to me. The bird came out of nowhere while driving at 65MPH. It actually hit my windshield en the same location. Fortunately for me, no damage. That sucks man :-(
