Default Windshield Chip/Crack Repair?

Does anyone reccomend a product for concealing small (in my case very small) nicks in my windshield? I would rather do it myself than have one of those car wash hucksters do it. Thanks.

hmm - mine has a big smile across it. happened within a week after I bought it. Dealer wouldn't replace it so waiting until next state inspection before replacing it.

try some clear nail hardener - ask your girlfriend / wife to help you find it.

My old insurance company sent me some windshield repair stickers for free one day. Suppose to be able to stop small cracks from expanding.

Tape worked for me. I tried one of those kits but because the angle of the windshield the resin didn't fill the chip. agreed magnet. Wait till it's "illegal" status and get a new one with that crack resistant coating (?).

If it's really small you can almost hide it using those kits Autozone sells. I used it on my other cars and results were very good.

My Jeep attracted a rock the next day I drove it out of the dealer. >:-(

Took it to one of those parking lot tents that repair and bill the insurance company. Anyway, now I have a 8-inch crack on my windshield. They did a good job and impregnated the crack with some kind of lacquer that minimized its sight.

If your insurance covers it just let them fix.
