Default Wobble wobble

So back in November I installed new rims and tires. Shortly after I noticed a slight shimmy in my wheel. Had them rebalanced, didn't really help. So After about 1500 miles I rebalanced again and rotated them. No real change.

So now that the weathers been warmer, I started getting a bad wobble, steering wheel moving left to right stick shift shaking. If I let go of the wheel I'd be in a ditch. WTH. It wold be less at highway speeds. WTH.

Pulled the rims and tires again, had the tires remounted, rims checked, rebalanced.

Still wobbling!!!!!

So I decide to takes a leisurely 2 mile loop and check the temps of each tire, wheel, brakes just to see if something may be warped. Now I had the brakes, ball joints, tie rods, the whole front end checked. Even changed the under sized bolts as referenced on this forum.

Well, I start in the rear, each brake rotor is about 160 degrees, front driver rotor is about the same.
Passenger front! Tire was about 200 the wheel about 300 and the freaking rotor was pushing 460

So I replace the rotor, pads, and caliper. The original caliper looked perfect, seemed to function fine although a little tight compared to the new one, pads were glazed though.

Put about 200 miles so far, and it's a totally different jeep. It did take a while to be sure, since I was so used to fighting the wobble, it seemed like every time I had a shutter or hit a bump I'd freak thinking the wobble had come back.

Now this was a slow to moderate speed wobble, intermittent(but guaranteed) in the fact it never happened first thing in the morning it would take a few miles to start acting up.. And almost completely disappeared at highway speeds. Bumps really wouldn't exaggerate it.

Handheld temp gun, awesome. Don't buy a rechargeable though, unless you don't keep it your glovebox like I do. I've been using mine for years to check the tires on our Motorhome, especially running through the mountains towing the jeep.

Nice detective work. Wasn't going there as I read your post. I was betting on a slipped tire belt or bent rim.
