Default Rock Hard 4x4's First JL is on Order!

Very exciting milestone for Rock Hard 4x4 and the Wrangler line. Can't wait to tear one apart and build it back up with a full line of Rock Hard 4x4 upgrades!

Is that a Rubicon? I'm ready to order one, but I'm holding off until I can confirm the 4.10 axle ratio. The ordering system doesn't say anything about 3.73 or 4.10. Some are guessing the trailer towing package will have the 4.10, but I think that's just a guess.

Can't wait to see what you do with the JL!

Is there any reason you did not go with the 2.0L Turbo? I am curious about this option. Seems everyone is split on whether this is a viable off roading engine. Granted that the 3.6L is pretty reliable and tested.

Thank you for sharing and I look forward to hearing more about your rig in the future!

We'll end up buying 3 over the next few months to ensure we have total coverage.

Even the base 3.45 axle ratio should compare with the JK's 3.73 with the 1st gear ratio of the 8 speed transmission. 4.10 in the JL should be enough gearing to allow for a much bigger tire though.

Finally have an update! Our Rubicon is off the line. Thanks to a unique entertainment / electronics package we ordered, our delivery is later than units ordered the same day as ours.

Our responsibility as a manufacturer is to make sure we always order the most complicated unit we can. We did the same thing with our first JK back in 07. We had to make sure that when developing a cage for example, we'd be compatible with all stereo/sensor groups an installer could possible come across. The JL is no different. Of course we could have had a Sport model weeks ago, but that's now the trim level we want to develop parts off of.

Our JL is now built, at a 3rd party part of the supply chain, then off to KZ status. Should have it in our hands inside of a few days!
