BayouRebel - Built in SoCal for Louisiana!
BayouRebel wasn’t born in Louisiana, but that is where it will soon call home. Delivered to us before the owner ever saw the keys, BayouRebel is part of a growing trend of clients having their Jeeps either factory delivered or shipped to us for complete builds. This 2013 is proud to become the latest REBELCON. Paul, BayouRebel’s owner, picked a very diverse mix of manufacturers and components to build a Jeep that is very much his own. Rebel, agreeing that no Jeep should look “cookie-cutter”, was very happy to indulge.
From the Nemesis Industries Skeletos fenders to the Poison Spyder Customs, Inc. mid-width front bumper and Rock Brawler II rear bumper/tire carrier combo, aluminum Brawler Rocker rock sliders, then to a Rock Hard 4x4 sports cage and all aluminum underbody protection by AOTech. A Poison Spyder C pillar kit completes his cage along with Rock Hard 4x4 front and rear harness bars.
His AEV snorkel, which mounts through his AEV Heat Reduction Hood and fits perfectly with his 50” steel LED light bar mounts supporting his 50” Rigid Industries - LED Lighting SR bar. Front end lighting not only provided by his Rigid SR 50, but also a Truck-Lite Company, Inc. headlamp upgrade, and Vision X LED fog lights.
Recovery is guaranteed with his TeraFlex Suspensions recovery bag and WARN ZEON 10-s winch with a Factor 55 ProLink, but shouldn’t be an issue anyways since his RECON coilover conversion with KING 2.5” IBP coilovers and Teraflex LCG (low center of gravity) long arm system.
To support the weight of his 37” tires we sleeved, gusseted, and skidded his front D44 Rubicon housing, installed Teraflex HD ball joints, and RCV Performance chromoly axles. Ten Factory chromoly axles went into the rear for trail confidence. 4.88 gears front and rear help his 3.6L crawl. JE Reel 1350 driveshafts bow and stern will last the life of his Jeep. Connecting his knuckles and providing perfect alignment is a Synergy chromoly tie rod with metal ends.
Organizing the clutter are Rotopax Storage and First-Aid Pax with billet RotopaX cage mounts.
Method Race Wheels Double Standards (custom painted to match his JK’s body) are mounted inside Toyo Open Country MT tires (37x13.50x17). Inflation provided by a Powertank. Slowing down those hefty wheels and tires is our RESTRAINT brake upgrade.
Exhaust is managed by a Magnaflow cat-back system and an AFE loop delete kit.
