Perfect Solution

Few things on the planet are hotter right now than the brand-new Jeep Gladiator pickup and overlanding. Jeep is obviously aware of this, and was more than happy to bring multiple pickup concepts to this year's Easter Jeep Safari. And for those looking to spend a few days in the wilderness, the Wayout concept looks like the perfect pickup solution.

Long Boy

The Gladiator's rather long stature makes it an excellent candidate for all of the gear you need to go camping just about anywhere. The biggest of which is a pretty massive tent and canopy attached to the Wayout's roof and over-the-bed area.

Nifty Features

Aside from operating as a rolling campsite, the Wayout is packed with loads of cool little features. Things like the gas cans embedded in the truck's bedsides and an integrated ladder to help you reach your little off-road loft.

Retro Vibes

The Gator Green paint and throwback steel wheels give the Wayout a very cool retro vibe as well, even though this is actually a brand-new vehicle. Those 17-inch wheels are wrapped in 37-inch Falken Wildpeak M/T tires, with a 2-inch lift giving them a little breathing room.

Go Exploring

Jeep didn't leave the interior untouched, either. A cool topographical map pattern adorns the seats, and there are some various stickers spread all over the dash. It's enough to make you want to get out and explore, that's for sure.

Bogging Deep

You won't find any real mods on the Gladiator's engine, but the Wayout does pack a snorkel for deep water excursions and a 12,000 pound Warn winch up front in case you get in a little too deep.

Light 'Em Up

When not in use, the tent and canopy system is protected by a very nice hardtop that also looks awesome. The metal bed rack beneath it features a series of lights so you won't be stumbling around in the dark, too.

Secure Space

If you need tons of secure storage space for your gear, the Wayout has you covered there as well thanks to a lockable Decked storage system located in the bed.

Build Your Own

The only bad thing about the Wayout, of course, is that Jeep won't actually build it and sell it this way. But on the bright side, many of its components are available for purchase. And you can bet that in the coming months, the Gladiator's aftermarket support will only get stronger!
