Major Chop Job

When the current Jeep Gladiator was introduced back in 2018, it marked the first time in the brand's long history that a pickup version of the Wrangler was offered. This has meant an abundance of customization possibilities for builders of all kinds. But back in 2015 when the JK Wrangler was still in production, building an off-road racer Jeep trophy truck required a major chop job.

Off-Road Competitor

And this 2015 Wrangler was built specifically to compete in off-road competition. To that end, it took part in numerous off-road racing competitions in 2017, 2018, and 2019. It was subsequently retired and refurbished by its current owner. And the Jeep comes with a clean Washington state title.

Show and Go

The two-seater Wrangler trophy truck is certainly a unique creation. And the recent restoration has it ready to be enjoyed and showed off, thanks to that beautiful Miami Blue paint from Porsche.

Thorough Build

The thorough build includes a TIG-welded chassis and roll cage, auxiliary lighting, and Sparco competition seats. The Jeep rides on adjustable coil-spring suspension with custom-valved bypass shocks. 17-inch KMC beadlock wheels with 37-inch rubber are the truck's point of contact with the dirt.

LSX

Under the hood, the Jeep power plant has been replaced with a highly potent 454ci LSX V8 mill. The unit was rebuilt in 2018 by Mullenix Racing Engines. It features a long list of performance upgrades including a Holley EFI system and ECU, Fuel Air Spark Technology (FAST) intake manifold, and Ross pistons.

Reserve Not Met

The V8 is mated to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission with a TCS 4k-rpm billet stall converter. It sends the power down to the wheels through a 9″ Ford differential in a Currie rear axle housing. Prior to having the truck listed for auction on BaT, maintenance was performed on the motor to make sure it's ready to go. The auction was bid up to $90,000 but failed to meet the reserve.
