Man With a Plan

Typically, Jeep owners don't waste any time modifying their rides. Most of the time, in fact, we've already got a pretty good idea of what we're going to do before we even buy a Jeep. And that certainly can be said for JK Forum member Dzldust, who had a plan for his 2012 JKU from the moment he pried it from the hands of a couple of college students.

Quick Transformation

At the time, the Wrangler had 33" tires on it but was otherwise stock. Seven months later, things had changed drastically.

Making Room

To make room for some beefy 40" tires, the OP installed a 3.25" lift kit with a long arm setup at both ends. Still, it took a bit of work to make sufficient clearance for that big old rubber.

Ready to Rock

Other mods at this time included UD60s with e-lockers and steep 5.38 gears to turn those big tires. With a ram assist and lots of underbody armor, this Jeep is certainly ready to hit the trails.

No Mall Crawler

And that's exactly what Dzldust proceeded to do because he certainly wasn't performing all this work and spending all this money on some kind of glorified mall crawler.

Steer the Ship

After a while, Dzldust further fortified the steering with Teraflex speed bumps and a PSC pump, reservoir, and cooler. After which he called the results "incredible."

Too Close

From there, it was all about driving the Jeep and making some minor tweaks to ensure it was performing at a top level. Dzldust soon repositioned the ram on the tie rod after learning it was too close to the point where it might bend.

More Modding

More mods kept rolling in as well, including an AntiRock and Teraflex forged rear trac bar. And then, after some more real world "research," Dzldust discovered that he needed to notch the frame to keep the pittman arm bolt from hitting the tie rod end.

Brace For Impact

The latest additions to this ever-evolving build came in the form of EVO full rear armor, modified Smittybilt Flux XRC fenders, and RockHard C-pillar supports to strengthen up the Jeep for future impacts.

Stay Tuned

This Jeep Wrangler has certainly come a long way in a short period of time, and we don't expect it to stop evolving any time soon. So be sure and head over here to stay tuned for future updates!
