Here is some good information on GWNF roads (trails) around Harrisonburg. Sadly, they closed Salt Shed a few years back due to mud holes and blazing new trails. Everything is pretty stocker friendly and only Dictums Ridge is not for the faint of heart. I'll see if I have some old pictures to give you an idea of what it looks like. Let me know if you need more info

Dry river/salt shed trail was closed due to bass fishermen complaining of vehicles crossing the river. During this Harrisonburg found out they actually own that land and had the aera closed since that is their drinking water.

Just so you know.

Interesting! Yeah, I heard a lot of different stories as to why they closed it. I remember there was a huge mud hole back there just after the creek crossing that most people got stuck in up to their doors.

Has anyone been to Red Cloud Off Road in Woodbridge? Their website says you need a working muffler? Would this mean us with straight pipes are out of luck??

I have not but I would assume so. Sound like that rule was designed for people without mufflers.
