It works great with the small external that comes with it. I've yet to try it with the firestik I mounted...

You can get a 2nd cigarette lighter from walmart, wire it to the one on dash and mount it on counsel next to E-brake. Be convenient and out of the way...

That seems like a cool approach. I figured it was just for cell phones and such. I might call Q-tec and ask if it would work with a CB. Much better than losing it 50 times into the passenger footwell. Thanks!
