Extra, licensed 2010 I think
Fredericksburg, VA
I was doing HF in my Prius (IC-7000) for a while, but the interference from the electrical system became too annoying, so I tore it all out and sold it. I may go back and do it all again at some point in the new JKU, but until then I'm going to wire up power to Anderson connectors so that I can at least get my FTM-350AR into it for local conversations & repeater access.
Current goal is to get that into place prior to OBX vacation later this month.
Also, new here. Hi!

AE7MD Not currently on the air, but with the new JKU am looking into possible radios for the trail. I've had my Extra for a few years now, but haven't been on the air since HS, banging code
with a Novice license. Lots of 2m repeaters here along the Front Range in CO. Reading up on 10m, but not sure it would be useful on the trail. Probably end up putting a CB in it as well.
