Ok I can not seem to figure out what I need to connect my firestik antenna to the coax coming out of my cobra 75. The coax has a large male screw in connector and the firestik has a small coax screw in coax connector. Even RadioShack was useless. Help!

Google "cb antenna stud mount" and see if that's what you're missing.

Most CB coax has PL-259 connectors("large male screw") on each end unless you have a ring terminal on one end.

This is what I have.

The left picture is your PL-259 connector. The right picture is your antenna. You place a CB antenna stud mount on whatever mounting plate you plan to use. Typically through a half inch hole. On the bottom of the CB antenna stud mount is an SO-239 connector. The PL-259 will mate up to it. On top of the CB antenna stud mount is a threaded hole. Your antenna screws into that.
