Thanks, I'll have to keep an eye out for one.

Default Splash Screen update

The uconnect harness came a few days later install was pretty simple and low and behold the bluetooth works, no vin flash was needed. The only issue I still have is the Headunit still says Chrysler 2 weeks later. Anyone have any ideas on how to get this to change to Jeep?

thanks
You need to update the application software to get the splash screen to work on a mygig that does not automatically update. This update allows the mygig to display the correct logo on start up. I just did this on my RER (from a 2010 chrysler town and country) in my 2013 Wrangler. Once updated, everything worked perfectly.

If anyone says the can bus system is different between the 2007-2011 & 2012+ model year Wranglers, they are misinforming you. This statement is simply wrong. I switched out my head unit (as stated above) and have 100% functionality from it. The only difference is that you must update the radio manually vs the new models that update automatically.

I wouldn't be opposed to adding Uconnect but the modules are almost as much as the 430.
lol I didn't have any luck finding a cheaper module either.

Does anyone know how the Sirius transfer works when swapping units? If I am still in my "free" year does that transfer over? Do I need to call or is it just tied to the VIN?

They suck for that... They count it as a separate account. If you have a paid subscription they transfer credit for the new line. So if you paid for a year you might get 8 months on the new radio. If you complain enough they should work with you.

For the "free" service they may not transfer it over or just give you a couple months free. They are real jerks over there. Customer service is terrible

Default Rbz not working

It tried installing an RBZ (P05064675AE) in my 2012 Wrangler Altitude Edition and all that appeared was a faint green glow on the screen. Has anyone else had this issue? Does it sound like a bad unit?

Are you sure the radio is from a high speed bus vehicle? A low speed bus radio will not work?

When I looked up the serial# it indicated that it is a high speed bus deck.

I just updated a 2010 RBZ I purchased off a forum member to the 10.10.11, before the update my splash screen had the jeep logo, after the update it now says Dodge. Unplugged the battery for a half hour. Still says dodge. Any ideas on why this happened? Anyone have issues with this?
