Looking for headlamp upgrade.
I have a 2011 JK with stock lamps and want a bit better lighting when off-roading. Any suggestions? Also need it to be easy swap no modifications. Not to tech savvy. Please help

Skip the stock bulb "upgrades", I've been there and done that to no avail. If you want proof, I'll ship these "upgrade" buns to you. Moving to a new housing and bulb will make the biggest difference aside from going full LED.
That being said- it's just as easy to put in something like the trucklite as it is to change a bulb.

I agree with skipping the stock bulb upgrades. I have also tried them all. I just installed the cree LED projectors and love everything about them.

The IPF JK upgrade housings will give you what you probably think of as a stock vehicle having for headlights--what the JK is sorely lacking. They will not "blow you away", but they also won't look goofy on the JK (sorry all of you LED fans, but that's just MHO). And they are modestly priced. Replacement consist of pulling grill (the plastic "screws" on top are really push pins, BTW), removing the retaining ring for each OEM housing, disconnecting the electrics, installing new housing with provided pigtail to adapt to new bulb, reinstalling retaining ring, reinstalling grill, aligning lamps (you'll need a Torx driver for that). About 30 minutes.
I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the IPFs are not DOT approved. This is because they have a light pattern that has a very small, narrow bright spot that exits the light housing at a very steep angle. I didn't even know that it existed until I started doing some Internet research on why they aren't DOT approved. It isn't at such an angle that it could practically blind another driver (as some have suggested who obviously haven't looked at it), and it doesn't form a bright spot anywhere that would cause you any problems because it's just pointing up into the sky. But it is there once you know to look for it by standing about three feet in front of one of the lights and looking down at it. FYI, when I bought mine they came with a pair of $60 IPF bulbs. They were blue. I hate kiddie-car-blue bulbs, so went to the parts store and boought a $20 pair of Sylvania Halogen lights. Perfect, for my needs, and they will have much longer life than the more expensive, marginally brighter bulbs. As I wrote at first, they provide the light that you'd expect from a stock vehicle. If by "bit better" you really mean as much light as possible, then go for the LEDs. They are pretty amazing, even if goofy looking. ;-)
BTW, note that the IPFs look like a proper headlamp for a Jeep, instead of like it should be shooting fake laser beams from some B-grade space science fiction movie from the 1950s ...

Do yourself a favor and just get the trucklites or similar LED headlights. The trucklites are a fantastic improvement on the road and may be all you need off the road.

If you buy LED headlights, make sure you get the anti-flicker.
