As the title says... So anytime I go out into the mountains or into the desert, basically anywhere my phone goes from 3/4G to 1X or no service my temp gauge on my cluster locks. I've done this and shown other people at least 30 times. Anyone else notice this or have an explanation? My JK is a X so no satellite or anything. Am I lojacked or something??

Would make sense but it is literally only when I leave "the grid".
If I leave at 4am and its 42 degrees when I hit the same area Verizon loses service it will read 42 all day till I get back to service, then magically 61 degrees.
Happens every time

2009 x 6 speed. I'd like to think its the clockspring, but it only happens then. I always have that display on temp so I always see it

Your signature has the answer. When you have service the NSA tracks you passively through the cell network. When you go "off grid" they are triangulating you using HAARP and the resulting interference renders your temperature display useless until you are back on grid.

If you pull the top panel off the center dash bezel (2 pop clips on the windshield side) just pry it up and disconnect the GPS unit and see what happens. Or swap it with someone else's and test it out.

I actually wouldn't be too surprised if that were the case
