Default Third Brake Light Modification

I installed my lift and new wheels and tires and decided I needed to do something different with the third brake light. What do y'all think?

LOL, well that's interesting. I'm not sure what to think about that.

Intriguing, for sure.

Looks like what I saw when the F-106 pitched up 50 feet over my head and went into afterburner.

Doing the light like this is good for nighttime visibility but doesn't frequently pass state inspections because there is no DOT stamping on it- I like the idea though!

Now that you say that, makes me think it wouldn't pass inspection here in TX....with the stumbling block being that you can't see the light itself, just the reflection. If you have a 3rd brake light, it has to work, and they have to be able to see it. I just go without myself.

Will that pass inspection in Maine?

My brother had 1 LED burned out, with 5 still working. It did not pass.
A friend removed his completely, and had no problem.

Will the one in this thread pass in Maine? I just don't know.

Looks like something someone would do if they had 20" wheels and low profile tires. No offense. You asked.
