Maybe do the right thing and really learn. Learn about trail etiquette, not leaving trash, be a good land steward and pick up trash you see. Go to blueribboncoalition.com and learn about the battle to keep public lands open, and try treadlightly!.com. It's not all about the sticker on your Jeep, what color you paint your thing, what size lift Bobby and Tommy has, it's about giving back.

Default I feel you

I bought a jeep that was way to built for what I need. I already had an old cherokee with a little lift and lunchbox locker in the rear. Its all I need and makes wheelin more challenging anyway.

It made sense for me to keep the ride close to stock so I went with a 2" AEV spacer lift and 285/70R17 tires. The ride is great. My wife and I enjoy going top down doors off and use the Jeep for everything from our paddle boarding trips, skiing and camping to going out for a night on the town. Jeeps are awesome fun vehicles and I can't see myself in anything else but building it for your needs will go a long way towards fully enjoying it.

I just started reading through this thread, didn't get any notifications for replies. Since I sold the jeep (somewhat of a loss) but much happier with the Tacoma I found. I would love to build something older (and lighter) in the future that I can just demolish off road instead of something nice. My truck, gets me where I need to go in the mountains and has a much better freeway ride (even before I lifted the jeep, the tacoma drives better)

I guess you missed the part where I did a ton of wheeling before, really enjoyed it, and now that I tried to get back into more of an extreme rig realized I didn't want to spend as much time on the crazy trails.

I am taking my build slow. I love the look of your Jeep though.

I go out prospecting a lot, and some of the claims require a lifted 4x4, so that's what I built. I do enjoy crawling through the canyons and stuff as well, and my Jeep is very capable. And I drive it 60+ miles round trip between work and home. It's no Cadillac by any means, but it'll climb the hell out of them there hills.

I am sure you will be able to sell it with little to no issues. And luckily Jeep has great value retention over several years. Jeeps have been selling like hotcakes out here in Arizona. I have even had offers to buy mine, but she isn't going nowhere.

You obviously built it wrong!!!! What's holding you guys back from selling your jeeps and buying a truck? Do it if you'll be happier.
This, sir is a sweet rig!

I can see where your coming from but at the same time if you build it right they are not bad as a daily driver or on the free way at 75 mph. I drive mine as a daily driver and I love it. I also think it depends on the person. Anyway nice looking jeep good luck.
