Default Commando-JK: My 2 Door

Hello Everyone,

This is the start to my build thread. I have been slowly building my Jeep over the past 2 or so years. This forum is really for me to document my own progress and I hope to keep updating along the way. These Pictures are from when I first got it in September of 2013.

In December I sprayed my grill to black and also added Smittybilt side steps (wouldn't buy again) as well as KC Hilites Apollo Driving Lights.

This month was when the Rubicon Express 3.5" Lift was installed. At the time I also added Mickey Thompson wheels and Nitto Trail Grapplers. I love these Trail Grapplers and I would recommend these to anyone looking for a tire. I have wheeled all over the midwest and they do great in rocks and mud. Once these tires wear out (25k on them now, at least that much to go) I will be upgrading to a 37" Nitto whether it be a Trail, Mud, or Exo Grappler.

This was the first day over 40 degrees, so I figured it was a good time to try out my Body Armor Trail Doors

The first picture is the morning after I went mudding for the first time. Before this, the Jeep had only seen minor offroad, but here I got it covered. The second picture is of the "custom" kayak rack that I made. It was pretty simple, as it was only made out of green treated 2x8s, i-hooks, and rubber straps.

Friends and I were messing around down by the river, and moral of the story I buried the rear of half of the Jeep in the river. The second picture is of the "custom" front bumper that I put together. I basically just cut up the front bumper, reinstalled the fog lights, and painted the whole thing.

This month I installed the OR-Fab front stubby bumper, Warn VR 10000 winch, and the KC Apollo Series Fog Lights.

This was on the 4th of July; I flew the 3x5 American flag around all day.

This was day 2 on Drummond Island. This was an incredible experience and a well run event. JeepEnd, LLC is an incredible company, and if you are in Michigan or surrounding states, I would highly recommend it.

This was just a pretty picture taken by my sister. Not the biggest Jeep, but still pretty.
