They are a bright color that will stand out, comes with bag, cheapest, more stretch

20ft vs 30ft

Havnt been in too many recovery situations. Can anyone give up some experiences that would help make a decision

First Kudos to you for even knowing the difference, most people don't.
You really can't go wrong with any of those brands, they all use a 12 strand synthetic fiber.
What you really need to know is what type of recoveries you want to do and the working load limit (WLL) of the strap to figure out what size you need.
Breaking strength divided by 5 will give you your WLL (Factor of 5) this is a pretty standard figure.

I've never used them, but I have seen Bubba ropes. They are the most popular brand in my limited experience. My .02

I'm not familiar with ASR, but for the other 3 I would say they are all the same. I have ARB because of no good reason. I would be surprised if ASR was any different than bubba, voodoo or ARB. specs are specs with pull strength/pull weight. These recovery straps have a limited use life - they can only take so many stretches, I am not sure what that number exactly is.

For length both are good. If you primarily do mountain and woods trails then shorter would be better because of the limited room to yank someone out. After you tension the strap, it will stretch as you slowly drive away to help pull the vehicle out. If you are often in open areas, esp mud bogs, then longer might be the difference between reaching and not reaching the stuck vehicle while keeping your jeep on safe ground.

Recovery straps will only stretch 3%-8% if you are lucky. Many do not have WLL or SWL ratings on them or any industry standard for testing.

Kinetic recovery ropes will stretch up to 38% and generally are tested and rated.

I would not buy anything that does not have WLL on it. Twenty feet sounds like a lot until you hook it up. I would get which one works best for you. I have a 20ft but my next will be a 30ft.

Also, bigger is not always better. You want the rope to stretch. Get one too large and you are defeating the purpose. Generally, 7/8" are the right size for JKUs (6k#).

I'm shopping for a new strap myself. My old one is 18,000 lbs 2x20'. it served me well FOR YEARS, but looking back, I should have a bigger strap.

What concerns me is that even Warn straps are made in China. How is that different from Smittybuilt stuff (which I would not buy as a strap).

I don't want to spend crazy money. Here's what I found:

So, based on this, why not Rugged Ridge?
And is the Warn any better quality because it's Warn even though it's still made in China?

Those flat recovery straps are an entirely different beast than the kernmantel kinetic ropes. Would be interested in a discussion of the differences.
