Default Lift Question

Sorry if this has been covered but I have a question about lift kits. I have a 2012 JKU that I would like to put a 2.5 inch lift on. Anyone have a suggestion for a good quality budget friendly kit? Also do I need to level my Jeep or will the lift kit take care of the leveling?

Pretty much any budget boost well be a good kit. Search around and narrow it down for us and well tell ya which ones we like. Most lifts will level it out

Looking at Skyjacker, Teraflex, Old Man Emu or AEV (as a budget stretcher). Any thoughts on these?

why do you want to level it? Lots of puck lifts out there and any should do you fine.

I think if you going to do it, do it right or not at all. get the best you can afford, so you don't run into handling problems or any other problems later.

I did a MetalCloak ARB lift and my Jeep rides & handles great.

I wasn't sure if I had to level it if I lifted it.

Leveling it is just a preference look. I seen a post from one of these gurus that made a good point about leveling it. That the front rake is designed so when you add weight or passengers, trailer...etc to the rear it will level your Jeep out. Then your headlights won't point towards the sky.

The only reason to level it is because of personal preference. Personally I think it is dumb to try and level the jeep as soon as you load it up it will not be level anymore.

You are so correct on that I'm trying to figure out myself that same thing on my jeep. The minute I load it the rear is lower than the front by .5 to 1"
Feel free to check on my thread to chime in your thoughts.

Default Lift Question

Not if you have better aftermarket coils.
Stock maybe .. Using spacers.
