Default 2013 Rubicon Unlimited "Sarge" Build

Hey forum! I got rid of my LJ and got a 2013 Unlimited Rubicon! This is my build thread, it will be slow at first but eventually pick up speed! Any comments or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

January 12, 2013:
Today was the first day with the jeep, it has so much more power than my old lj! I just added a few stickers and ordered parts. As of now, I plan on getting a 3" lift and 35" tires, as well as bumpers and items of the such.

Here is a picture of my old lj

January 15, 2012:
Wooo!! Almost 300 miles on the JK!

I made a trip to harbor freight and picked up a new shovel and machete. I also put my fire extinguisher and first aid kit in the jeep.

January 16, 2012:
Today some of my parts arrived! Let the mods begin.

First I put on some of the Mopar door guards on the front and back doors.

Now it was time to put the Hi-Lift mount on the tailgate. I had to drill 3 holes in the plastic hinge covers. About halfway through this install I lost the instructions and then had to make a run to harbor freight because I lost my 13mm socket.

Drilling holes in the new jeep for the first time!

Finished tailgate mount!

My taillight guards also came in today!

The last thing I did before I went to sleep for the night was mount a shovel on the cage.

I am starting to look at bumpers and lift kits for the jeep. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! I plan on putting 35s on the jeep.

January 23, 2013:
I ordered a 3" lift kit from zone today!!! I can't wait to put it on! I also put the headlight guards in!

January 23, 2013:
I forgot to mention that I also ordered end caps to turn my bumper into a stubby bumper! And I added this sticker.

March 1, 2013:
Its been over a month since my last update. So many things have changed since my last update. The jeep is now being sponsored by Ace Off Road, I have already received the rock rails, the bumpers and fenders should be arriving in the coming weeks. I am going to try to document the install with photos and video. I will post photos of the installed rock rails later today. They work great as a step to get in and out of the jeep.

May 6, 2013:
I have decided to post my build thread on JK forum, I will update this on a regular basis from here on out.

Looks good man! I would warn you against using zip ties to hold the shovel up though, that could potentially hurt a passenger bad.
