Default Just had to show off the goodies!

So I got a little bored last weekend and while I have heard that Smittybilt isn't "the best" out there, I don't expect I'll be doing too much rock crawling, etc. although I wanted something to toss a winch on should I need it. Plus the rocker guard/steps I think look pretty solid. Anyway, I picked up the Smittybilt stinger bumper, rocker guards, and winch over the weekend just because it cost less than going too bonkers. I figured if worse comes to worse, I'll sell it and get some top notch stuff but in reality, I'm pleased with how solid it is. The wife picked me up the tailgate storage which I've got to fix a screw on that corner. Apparently self tapping screws aren't up to the task for that corner.

Just as an FYI...I did the installs myself in my garage. Unfortunately, it was ONLY by myself because my buddy was working on his Bronco at his house. Not too big of a deal though. Had a chair I used to help hold up the bumper while I lined it up. Did relatively the same thing for the rocker guards. I did not have to take the drill out for anything. Maybe because my Jeep is a 14 but everything lined up perfectly -- now that I think of it, to mount the skid plate. But everything else was A-OK.

On with the pics.

You JK is looking pretty sweet. I've been considering the same rocker guards. I've read some older reviews about having to do a little grinding around the front mount. Since you didn't mention it, I'm assuming they fixed that issue?

Thanks all.

Da, yeah. I'm over it! Everyone who sees it mentions how much they like it so I feel better!

Freedom...I had absolutely zero grinding. I popped off the factory side steps and pulled 4 bolts for the body mounts and they slipped right on. I do wish they had a mount in the middle to bolt to the body mounts but the rocker guards are solid. I tried bouncing and im225 and I didn't see any flex.

Thanks again!

Yeah noob...I really dig the stock wheels. I can't justify dropping coin on wheels that look good when in reality I'll probably go bonkers when they get chewed up. So, I figured stock is the way to go in the meantime.
