So better steering? Does it make the ride significantly smoother?

Yes and yes. Low caster is what makes the steering flighty or loose. The brackets fix that first and foremost.
Smoother because the control arms are set flatter to the ground. Bumps are absorbed through the coil/shock rather than the frame.

Awesome. Ive been debating on adding them to my setup, do they hinder ground clearance as bad as people claim?

Depends on who you talk to. About 1.5-2" lower then the frame mount.

Default Low cost

Try this, Trail master 3". I paid 249 at 4 WD.com. I had to add rearsway bar links, and also added Rubicon express control arm brackets. But I'm am totally thrilled it drive great I have 35" tires on stock rims with spacers. I'll post pics later but I got 4 " of lift.

Do not know if I mentioned, but I like your set up. How do you like those springs in the front from EVO. I have been thinking about doing the same and changing out the 2" pucks and 18's in the front to those.

Theyre fantastic, i wouldn't buy anything else, great ride with bilstien shocks, probably the most comfortable lift ive found so far.
