well on my little time I had today I cut out this crossmember finally.

Also decided that since I can reuse this driveshaft or resell it, I might as well try to lengthen it myself by sleeving it. I need the tubing, but will cut the center and sleevel to the other lines and extend it 7"

when I was young I extended a drive shaft. my dad came in and told me that it would not work. it needed to be balanced Well,I ignored him and continued extending the driveshaft. No money so no choice. Anyway as luck would have it it worked great. so my words to you are.

it wont work stop.. (Now go build and think positive)

Well finally sat down and played with the rear shock mounts slightly and figured out ballpark full bump...

storage tub will have to go which i figured.

Another cross member will also have to go by the looks of it. In my mock up it hit as it is and the pinion is not currently rotated correctly as it hitting the tub.. so it will go up more.

When measuring for the shocks I could manage to fit a shock up to about 24" collapsed with a little work. the 22" which is my current plan should work fine. I debated going to the 18" travel as it could fit, but man im not sure i wont run into other issues... I also don't want to be extremely tall...but its a fun thought to entertain as ive only seen one jk online do it so far...

Tomorrow I will be cutting the storage part out and also another cross member.

All in all a good night...

Cut a small hole for clearance.

Finished the front truss up.

Started the front grill on fire...

Got the rear bumper 95% welded in.

Front bumper is slowly coming together and soon to be ready for winch

Are you keeping your spare inside the jeep?

All in all I really like your build, and respect all the work you are doing yourself
