Has anyone tried to run this setup?
What problems did you have to face in the process?
Will Discount Tire even consider mounting this size tire on the stock steelies?

I ran/run them on my 2010 & 2012 on stock rims until I got new wheels. Live them. Nice bold look. Only problem I had was slight rub on sway bar at full lock. I just adjusted steer stop with washers. I run them at 35psi and it rides great. They now have 17k miles on them and still look new. Just make sure to rotate them.

I don't think Discount Tire will mount a 285 on a 7" wheel. In fact, most shops won't. You may be able to find a smaller shop that will. I've seen people run that combo and it seems to work fine, even though the wheel is "technically" too narrow for them.

I wouldn't be devastated if I have to go with 265/75/16, but prefer the 285s if possible.
Thanks again!
