Been doing a lot of research on 35s
How the hell does everyone afford it? It seems like most people on here have 35s and from what I've read heres a minimum of what I'd need, Let me know if I'm wrong.
5 18" tires- $2000+
2.5" lift $500+
Bumper w/ Tire Carrier $800+
Regear from 3.21 $1000+
Thats a minimum of parts only, not including installation, already costing over $4,000 for a 3" difference.
Does everyone just throw on 35" tires and call it a day?

I paid $500 for my 33" BFG A/T KO tires on CL, brand new. Used stock 17" wheels.
Got 4x 1.5" RC wheel spacers for $118 shipped to my door from RC.
Got a 2.5" BB off a member for price of shipping (nice guy).
Traded that 2.5" BB to a guy for a complete 4" RC kit with coils, shocks,Quick Discos, steering stabilizer, and control arm brackets. 4" was too much for his 2-door jeep.
So, deals are out there. Some have the expendable income to buy new and top of line. Others, piece it together over a year.
Oh yea, still on the 3.21 gears though.

You did leave out 1 necessity though. You have to take care of the wheel backspaceing. Cheepest way out would be wheel spacers. Jeeps can be no different from any other hobby / toy. You have to pay to play.

Drop down to 17's save on cost over 18's
2.5 lift lot of different ways to go but make sure to get better shocks
Used or get one of the oversized ones for 100 bucks or so for now
Regear based on needed or not , if needed it might be bearable till you save up money

Ive been buying bits and pices during the winter and just stashing them till it warms up. I orignally figured it would take me about 5 to 7k to get me where i want to be but so far i think i will make it just under or right at 5k so im fairly pleased. just shop arround and you can save a ton of money.

ProComp steelies, not sure the exact model, and ProComp Xtreme M/ts 35x12.5x15- $1600 Unless you are just plain against it, buy a 15" wheel, it'll save you about $100 a tire. It was cheaper for me to get all 5 steelies and tires, than just 5 tires for 17" Rubi Moabs. Plus I like the look of big rubber.
