I am looking to get a 2.5" budget booster and pay for it all and my dad thinks that it too high but he wants 33"s on her so I am not sure how to convince him of a 2.5". Please help and post photos if you have the lift

Tell him the "internet" said it was ok... That should work.

Your post reads like you are in high school... leverage your grades, presuming that they are good. If not, leverage manual labor. If that doesn't work, kill him.

This is probably not what you want to hear, but I can relate to what your Dad is saying and I have a 2.5" BB (stayed with 32's though).

I'm going to assume you are young and have limited driving expirience (if not and you have been driving for a few years, then disregard all of this). Nothing wrong with that, we've all been there. However with that, driving a vehicle that is lifted from the stock suspension in the early years of driving is not a great idea as the vehicle will not act as well in an emergency situation, should one arise (even with a small lift like that, trust me I drive one).

I'm buying a used Jeep for my son who will be driving soon, but will not buy one with a lift. After a couple years of driving and he's proven himself a safe driver, then we'll look into one if he wants it. Don't be in a hurry to do a bunch of stuff to your Jeep, figure out how you want to use it and determine what you really need to do. My first Jeep was a YJ that I got right after I graduated High School and had grandiose ideas for it. In the end I basically did nothing to it except for some cosmetic changes and she never let me down. The stock JK's are way more capable than any stock YJ could ever dream of being, so enjoy what you have and worry about a lift later.

You can clear 33's with just a leveling kit. Performance Accessories has 3 options; just a leveling kit, leveling kit with new end links, or leveling kit with quick disconnects. You can see them all by following the link and can be purchased for $33-$140 depending on what you go for....Jeep Leveling Kits

Heres my buddies Jeep that has the Performance Accessories leveling kit with quick disconnects, part # JL175DPA

I'm not convinced you need a 2.5 lift either.

Why exactly do you?

If cost is an issue, install some Spidertrax wheel spacers and a Teraflex leveling kit... It will greatly improve the look of your Jeep and keep the price below $400!
