How many of you have sold a Wrangler just to miss it and buy another?

I've actually done it twice:
Sold my first jk in 2009 for a mustang, traded back to a jku within a year.
Made the same mistake last year, went to an f150. granted i did use the truck for a lot of renovation and landscaping, but 6 months later traded back to a jku. if i could only get back some of the money i lost on those trades...

Sure I did. All of my jeeps have been weekend warriors. First a 2000 TJ manual, I had it for 8 years and loved it. Sold it in 2011 because I thought it was irresponsible to have a jeep and children at the same time. I was wrong, quite the opposite my two boys love jeeps. Second, 14 months later a new 2013 unlimited sport auto. I sold it a few weeks ago because I wanted a manual Rubicon and I got top dollar for it. I was going to purchase one in the winter for a good deal but! Third, 8 days later found what I was looking for and it was a deal so I bought it. 2015 rubicon unlimited manual, connectivity and Alpine stereo. My current one is my favorite so far. I told my wife I will never be without a jeep ever again my entire life. She excepts it now and she loves the new one also.

sold a YJ due to an Ex (who never liked Jeeps) convincing me it wasn't a good family vehicle only to immediately regret the sale. The buyer got such a good deal she wouldn't sell it back (even when I offered twice as much!). I finally got another Jeep years later and have learned my lesson:
1) If you are a Jeeper and meet a potential partner who isn't into them or the associated lifestyle, drop them... they aren't right for you.
2) As a Jeeper don't sell your Jeep unless it truly has unrepairable issues as you will regret it. If your children share your enthusiasm they will want to inherit it someday.

Well couldn't wait a couple more months. Fourteen months passed since I sold my 2009 JKUR. I was okay for the first two months then I started obsessing about getting another one. I was going to wait to see what 2016 had to offer, in particular the colors. However last week I received a $1000 incentive and also had a $500 one to use. Found a 2015 JKUR in copper brown pearlcoat that was just delivered and not even on the lot yet nor inspected completely. It had all of the options I had written down and was looking for. Took it for a quick test ride and 10 minutes later had a deal. Extremely happy I didn't wait. Putting on a Teraflex 2.5 BB and 315 Duratracs this weekend (and a few other things) as a temporary means to relieve the mod envy I had for the past year.

Traded my '85 CJ7 for a brand new
'95 Mustang GT back when I was 22. Drove it for a year and a half and sold it. Bought a used 92 wrangler and haven't looked back. Tried a 96 Cherokee for a couple years. Now I'm in my
'09 JK. It's gets in the blood. Wish I still had the CJ. That thing was great.

I sold my very well built and supercharged '10 JKU back in March. Tore my rotator cuff a year and half prior and couldn't really handle shifting the manual trans anymore; two surgeries later, still not feeling good about it, and someone happened to make an offer to buy it at just the right time.
Sold it on a Saturday, and went to the dealership on the Wednesday after to pick up a brand new '15 Rubicon, auto trans of course. So made it about 3 whole days without a jeep, lol.
Old
New (with the wife behind the wheel at the time)

I have owned 4 and my only regret is selling my 95 yj to my cousin. I had a tj at time also. This was about 5 years ago. Now my kids are driving wish I would have kept that yj for them. They want to drive my jk but no chance lol.

I guess this doesn't really count but we traded in a black 2010 2D Sahara for a black 2013 2D Sahara in September '10. We just pulled the trigger again today on a black 2015 2D Sahara. There is a difference this time. It is auto with heated seats and my smarter half's daily driver.
I just checked the paperwork for the 2013 and we got it for 27257 pre-tax. Got a trade in value of 27000. Thanks to the Canadian dollar being 20% less to the US dollar now, you guys in the States are getting a lot of our used vehicles and we are getting great trade in $$$.
The only thing that sucks is waiting for 6 weeks for the new ride.
