The study sampled 37,000 owners of model year 2010 vehicles after 3 years of ownership.
A couple of points:
1. A Lexus RX isn't going to save you in a zombie apocalypse.
2. A 3-piece hardtop and even a soft-top is wildly more complex than a steel roof or a roof with a sliding glass panel.
3. An interior rattle is not indicative of a vehicle's ability to surpass 200,000 miles on the original engine/transmission, which would make a "dependable" vehicle, but not a "rattle-free" vehicle.

It's a jeep. There is going to be more weird sounds than you can shake a stick at. But at the end of the day it will keep running longer than the others. Look at the junk yards. See what's in them. So far in Vegas over 2 years I have never seen a wrangler in a junk yard.

I got a buddy in Canada whose searching for a hardtop and he can't find one to save his life, he's to the point of searching wreckers and it's the same thing not a wrangler to be found in a scrap yard

Yeah. They are either parted out or rebuilt. With steel bumpers good luck totaling it. We have all seen pictures. Might be a dent in my bumper and ill make you pay for a new one and throw the money for more parts and a can of bed liner. While your car has nothing left of it. Gotta live body armor.

It's good to let new owners know what they are getting themselves into... A buddy of mine is going from a Lexus gx470 to a rubicon... I have warned him expect rattles and leaks

I also had land rovers for years, they were always high-just like this one where they are ranked last. I never ha not one single issue with them. To me this is just toilet material.
