Default looking for opinions on Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ

I am buying some 37" for my jeep. The choices are fairly limited but I can get some mtz at a good price. How do you like the tire on and off road? Anything about them would be helpful. Thanks

I had 37" MTZ's on my previous jk. Loved them, they look awesome. I'll look for an old pic and post it later.
The tires were great on the road too. I took a trip from Colorado to Arizona with them, no issues with long road trips.

Thanks. Did you get good wear out of them? I Hear one knock on them, the compound is a little firm making them slick on rocks. Any experience with that?

They wore great, after 10k miles they still looked new. As far as rocks, they worked well. I did not think they were slick at all. The sharp granite in AZ did take some small chunks out of them though.

I have 35s on my daily driver and have been great. Have over 30,000 miles on them now, and have performed in all situations, including on ice and snow. For a street and offroad tire, very impressive, and I'd buy again.

I've had 35's on mine for 23k now very minimal wear I think I'll be able to get close to 60k out of them. On rocks they've done really well not slick at all they can get a little noisy on badly paved roads but that's any mt. Overall they're great tires & I wouldn't hesitate to buy then again but maybe 37's next time

Thanks for all the input guys. I have always gone a different direction bc of $ but this time I have found them for cheaper than mtr, and only about $15 more per tire than the nitto trail graps. I've had two sets of nittos and was not happy with the tread life even though everybody swears they are the greatest tires ever

I had 32s when my jk was stock and loved them . After 25,000 km they had 90% tread left

I now have 35s, same mtz tire, and love em even more . Tread wear is barely noticeable, ride is great both on and offroad

I think they're worth it
