Hello all!!!

I'm brand new to the amazing Jeep world and super excited……but of course you'll now have to deal with my newb questions (well, hopefully you will) .

Just bought a brand new 2014 Wrangler 4-door, bare bones. Rolled it straight to 4Wheel Parts here in Tucson (great guys by the way) and had the Rubicon Express 3.5 Standard lift, Pro Comp Pro Runner Shocks and Pro Comp 35's installed, along with the Super Chips tuner. My question is the ride quality after this was done…..It has a little bit of a hobble (can be felt in the steering wheel), depending on the speed. On the highway I can feel a little bit of a hobble/vibration also. It's not terribly bad but I was just not sure if this is to be expected and "normal" with the lift and tires. I'm used to high performance, lowered cars in which "any" vibration from the tires is a bad thing.

Not normal, what components came with that lift? If you know. Also, check the psi on your tires, they might be overinflated too.

Something isn't right. Take it right back to them. You paid them for the parts and labor and it's up to them to make it right.

Edit: It's not normal. If it's speed related, the first place I would look is the tires.

Front and rear replacement coil springs
Front and rear cam bolts for caster and pinion adjustment
Front and Rear Bump stops
Front adjustable track bar and rear track bar bracket
Extended sway bar end links

They said to run 35psi and said that's what's in them…..but I'll double check.

Check these things
Track bar & drag link are as close to parallel as possible (more for bumper steer)
Properly Balanced tires
Alignment is proper
All connections are tight as appropriate.

Awesome, thanks…..I'm going to check the visuals and tire pressure now. Hope everything else is good…I hate dealing with having to take it back, explain and deal with all that grief!

For some reason, that's the recommended pressure, but it's not the right pressure.

For knowing what's the optimal psi for your tires, search for 'Chalk Test' on the forum, or simply use 28~30 psi.
Your ride will be softer and the tires will live longer.

If that doesn't solve the problem, get back to the nice people...

This is one thing we hope to find out.. The shocks are already installed.. but the spacers aren't. I would assume the spacers will add something more to the jeeps over all right.. One thing is for sure, the spacers will "up" the shocks to their recommended ride height. So I'm rather undecided as to what if any suggestions I can offer on these until the spacers are on and we drive a bit.

Also, I think the shocks, spacers and tires would work hand in hand.. Tire pressure included..

Procomp makes a shit kit... To be blunt,
I hear the Procomp shocks (not the MX6) shocks are garbage.
Rancho's rebate is going on. Grab a set of Rancho 9000's for $250 ish.
This will help you a lot.
