Default Snatch block

What type of snatch block is best suited for a synthetic winch line? I'm leaning towards the ARB 9000.

Does it spin sideways to wrap the line?

Yes the top or bottom plate then it is held together when you attach your D-ring.

I have used ARB snatch blocks for a long time, and they have never failed, but Masterpull has a new line of snatch blocks that are designed just for synthetic lines. Check them out, it may be worth the look

Winch Rope, Winch Line, Recovery Rope, Kinetic Recovery Ropes, ATV Winch Lines Ropes, MASTER PULL Recovery Gear

I have been wondering about this for a while.
Will the 30,000 lb. rated snatch block work for a JKUR?

Yep, and then some. 30k is more than sufficient for a built up and loaded down 4 door. You would snap a steel cable or synthetic winch line before the block failed.

Thanks for this information. I believe I'm going to try this one out.

One thing people misunderstand about this kind of item is the price. Yes they are expensive, but you are buying something one time. This kind of equipment, even when minimum amount of maintenance is done, will last a lifetime. Hell, some of my recovery equipment is actually decades old rigging gear that was actually used when I was a full time arborist/tree climber in Charlott, NC. All of it still works flawlessly! You are only buying this stuff once in most cases, winch lines get replaced the most, then probably snatch straps (unless you're breaking those doing crazy pulls).
