Ok here is the deal! I am looking at trading in my 08 Yellow JKU for a 13 2dr JK. Other than my recent steering box issue my 08 has been pretty flawless and I do really love her, but I have a deal with my dealer and it seems like an ok deal overall.

They are willing to take EVERYTHING off my 08 and swap it over to the 13 2dr. The only thing that would not transfer is my Trektop NX but that is ok because it is the only top on my 08, no hard top.

I mostly drive the Jeep to and from work with occasional wheeling here that there but nothing too serious these days.

I want thoughts, opinions, cons, pros, etc! Please help me make a good decision.

My only concern would be making sure you are getting a good trade in value on your 08, and that you weren't upside down.

Its a great decision! Upgraded engine and interior are a plus. The fact that the dealer will swap all your parts is even better. Only thing is your going to have to keep making payments and loose a little cargo space. Overall i love my 12 no issues so far 45 thousand miles

I think they are giving me 20-21 trade. They are somewhat desperate for JKUs right now used.

Im doing it too, trading my 09 for a JKU Rubi im trying to sell mine first but if no sold trading it. The one I want is in transit and not here till the 28th good luck....

I traded my 07 for a 12. The motor alone was a big deal for me.

I traded my 08 for a 12, the engine in the 08 bummed me out and the cheap interior got to me too. I too use it for my daily driver with some weekend trips in the mud. I don't think you can make a bad decision on 2dr vs 4dr. Buy the 2door you'll enjoy the classic jeep look, easier to whip in and out of parking spots, but you'll not have a lot of room. Buy the 4door and you'll have more room but you'll still think the 2dr looks cooler and you'll find yourself on a tight trail one day and wish you could turn around easier. I am glad that I bought a sport instead of a sahara/rubicon. I'm not made of money and I'm not hardcore offroader so I'm glad I've been able to spend money on the stuff I want. Bottom line Jeeps are freakin awesome and you can't lose!
