It's an adapter that gives you 2 RCA amp outputs and your remote wire to turn on the amp. Dash harness plugs into the PAC. Harness from PAC plugs into the radio. Run an RCA from one pair of the outputs to the RCA input on the amp. Run a remote wire from the PAC remote out (blue wire) to the remote input on the amp. I have a cheap little kenwood amp I bought from my sister to help her out one time for now. It does it's job to push the factory sub I got off another member.

You need a PAC AOEM-CHR3. Got mine on sonic electronix for $35. It plugs in to the head unit and gives you RCA outputs to connect to your amp. Then from your amp you can use speed wire to run back to the dash to slice in and utilize the existing wiring. I personally ran all new wiring for my speakers though.

Are you able to still use your deck to adjust bass levels?

Yes. You still have full functionality. All the PAC does really is give you the line outputs and remote output for the amp. Like I said. I'm putting in a new kenwood deck this weekend and won't need mine anymore if your interested.

It will work perfect for you as if has front and rear speaker RCA outputs to run to the amp.

Will this also work with the alpine system?
