Default Climbing rope for kid entry

For those of you with kids. I bought a nice soft black rope from HD. I tied the top to the head rest and the bottom to the rear door strap. My kids use it to climb in the jeep. Saves my back from picking them up. I will add some picks.

This actually sounds like a really good idea, I wonder how much stress the headrest can handle if you keep doing this for a couple years.

I made a rope ladder with wooden rungs that i tied to the floor bolt on the front seat. When you get inside, it stows neatly underneath the front seat.

I used an old spectra webbing loop from my climbing days.

Not as a step, but as an extended grab handle (attached to headrest) to help him climb up.

Good idea on the stirrup.

I had to ditch the stock rock rails on my 2011 Rubicon as my kids were having trouble getting in. Added Smittybuilt 4" side steps and grab handles that bolted into the sound bar. All good. Now if they only had the strength to open the door buttons with one hand.
