Ok if your looking to install 1080 in an automobile never mind a Jeep your looking at a temporary setup in my mind. It is not practical to run HDMI cables through your firewall. Their heads are too thick and would not do well with weather or river crossings. So your stuck to a dash cam setup with only one camera. You could go the GoPro route but that still is a temporary setup.

If you look at my wiring diagram you will see my DVR is a separate box. In my picture of the switcher you can see the DVR on the left. It is a silver box. It uses a cf card like for a camera I just pop out and into my computer. I can find the model number when I am on my computer next if interested.

If you set on 1080 two camera setup look here: K1S 1080P Dual Car Dash Camera w/ GPS Logger I did a quick web search, dont know anything about it but still looks like thick USB cables.

Thanks so much for the write up pvanweelden! I had 4 relays creating a birds nest around the battery of my last JK and didn't want to go that route with this one.

Just ordered the parts listed.

Glad I could help! Let me know if you have any questions!
I know people are often scared with anything electrical, but it really is very simple, and using the cooper bussman relay panel just makes it even easier, as there is less wiring to do, and no birds ness
It really is very simple, and shouldn't be that expensive to turn on/off accessories

And I have what seems like a dumb question but I don't know the answer. On my previous jeep I had 2 switches and 2 relays for the 4 hella 500s on my lightbar. Ideally I'd like to have them run off one switch/relay. Google tells me they draw around 19 amps combined so should be doable. What is the proper way to combine the wiring from the lights to the relay since there is 2 sets of wires (one set per pair of lights)?

I did a 3 wire soldered connection today and slid shrink tubing over the joint. Here is a photo of my mount.

It's painted black now. That was a test fit shot.

You could do it like Albino said or feed the second light off the positive connection at the first light.

Can I jump the power from light to light like I did my switches?

Yes. Just remember the first light feed is carrying the load of both lights so size the fuse and wire accordingly. Calculate the wire size needed for both lights together and use that throughout.
