I use crisco. it's cheap and last a while. Apply with a rag let sit in sun for 20 min. the with clean warm water and rag wipe down, do not try and remove it all you are just trying to wipe off any excess if you don't wipe down it will be a little sticky but looks great and the plastic will absorbe the oil to help prevent them from drying out and turning grey.

You guys need to check out Carpro Dlux, I have a Sahara so I didn't use it on my fenders but stock bumpers got 2 coats when I picked it up from the dealer in June 13. It is still beading and looks new over a year later. It can be used on wheels also.

I had a 13 year old X-Terra before this, with lots of plastic. Best thing I found to bring plastic back to black and last for at least 6 months is Ultima Trim and Tire Guard Plus. Stuff really works and doesn't wash of. I mean I had some seriously faded plastic. I wash it off, use a sponge with a little Ultima, let it sit for a minute then wipe it down with a rag to eliminate excess. Use 303 on dash and fenders in between to provide UV protection. I tried everything else and this stuff really lasts, doesn't just cover problem.

Default Keeping JK fenders black

Jeep Dealer at the coast told me their secret is regular peanut oil. Wipe on with a cloth and then wipe off excess. Works great!

Back when I had fenders though, I used the Mother's two part stuff I got at O'Reilly. It worked pretty good. Now the only plastic I have left on the exterior is the door handles and the mirrors.
