When you look at it, it should be self-explanatory upper & lower. You do NOT want to install them backwards or incorrectly. It flows in one direction.

The OEM upper line is the return to the transmission. That's the one you want to tap into for the aux cooler. That way the hot fluid leaves the transmission, goes through the OEM cooler, then through the aux cooler, and the cooled fluid goes back to the transmission.

Alright, just as long as the top oem tranny line is cut I can put the auxiliary lines any which way? Figure #1 would essentially utilize gravity and figure #2 works against gravity.. so it maybe a better option as it keeps the oil longer in the cooler.

According to B&M, the cooler must be installed with the fittings on the side, or on the top. If on the side, the lower fitting must be the inlet, and the top fitting the outlet to the transmission.

Thanks guys, finally completed the B&M Aux cooler install....After kayaking today I had to remove my wet shoes, and had to drive like that all the way home, The floor board no longer heats up like a pizza oven, I could put my bare feet on my carpetless floor without getting burned, shoulda done this a long time ago.
