Default 3rd Brake Light Relocation

Hi !

Didn't much like the 3rd stop but couldn't get rid of it either so...

Angle grindered the oem mount to the correct height,
cut the top end keeping one extra inch of the mount,
screw back the top end into position. Voilą.
Took me under an hour pics included.

GREAT Job!! I did something very similar. When I shortened the "neck," there appeared to be two small markings at the lower part of the "neck " that matched very closely to the perfect height /width of the (third brake) light housing. Drilled it out, attached, and it looks just like yours.

Nice job! If you ever get tired of it you can always put an LED strip under the tire, on the bumper!

That's 3.55" up from the tire carrier surface.
This puts the light just close to my 18" rim edge
so I guess it'd have to be slightly lower for 17s or 16s
The sides of the mount are cut a litle bit downward to follow the shape of the light.
