Default Can anyone recommend a shop in SE Michigan for gear swap?

I have a 2012 JKU Sahara. I haven't made any modifications yet other than a couple of electrical items (radio upgrade and new headlights). Now that my warranty is up and the Jeep is paid for, I want to start doing some mods.

To prep for larger tires, I want to swap out the gears. Can someone recommend a good shop in SE Michigan (I am in Clarkston) that has done a lot of gear swaps and has competitive pricing.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

Post in the Staging Area, the Regional sub-forums. You may even find your answer already posted there...

Yeah, this mod tech area moves very fast and it's easy to miss location specific posts. The Staging Areas move slower, and will target people in your specific area.

Didn't see a post in the staging area section yet, so I'll go ahead and throw out a few suggestions that I know of here:

Jeepers Creepers in Wyandotte
Unlimited Offroad in Fenton
Americas Most Wanted 4x4 in Byron
DTS in Warren

Fenton, MI has an off-road place?!? Wow, how times have changed.

Don't go to Limited Offroad! DTS is definitely the place to go. Good price and legit shop. $1550 or so for a regear. DTS is the only place in MI I trust. Other places either don't know what they're doing, are over priced, or don't warranty the work.

Btw, are you in our SE MI Jeep club? I never know by a screen name, haha.

Yep, just think about the initials with emphasis on the K and drop the 810... and if that didn't work. I do believe you've stopped by for a little bit of nitrogen at one time, lol.

Thanks for all of the responses. I will probably give DTS a call next week.

I can do a lot of work on cars, but I have never been comfortable properly setting up gears.

With the mention of the SE MI Jeep Club, I may check that out as well.
