Default Look what Santa got me this year! SmittyBilt X2O

I've had XHD Front stubby bumper since about 2009, and being I live in AZ, never really wanted to pay for a winch. Well, Santa delivered this year!

This looks and feels like a solid product, not sure something that clean goes with my 10 year old Jeep. The wiring was really really easy, big letters with all the cables.

Easy Fit, had to take the Hoop off was all. Attaching the bolts underneath was fairly easy for a blind bolt install (just used some black tape to keep the nuts in place).

(Oh and I put the bolt on backwards on purpose, just like my new TA tires with white letters out).

Where I fed the wires though.

The remote is very cool to, works just fine via wireless!

Next up, replace my factory rear bumper, never have since I still have my or-fab from way back, love it!

I'm looking at the Ace Halfback Rear Bumper with LED Light Provisions.

Ho Ho Ho...

Glad to see Santa came through for you. We have a lot of happy Smittybilt customers out there in your same boat. Now go get that Jeep stuck. Seems like a good New Years Resolution

had mine about a year. Its worked fine except the wireless receiver took a crap in mine. After a bit of fighting with the company they replaced it. Just for your info down the line. If your receiver or your transmitter takes a crap it cost 200 bucks to replace. the receiver and the transmitter in the control handle are matched and you have to but a new handle and receiver. KInd of insane I though that a winch that cost 400 bucks would have a little receiver and handle cost half the price of the winch. Good thing is if it does take a crap you can still use the cord.

The controller for the gen2 XRC winch also works plugged in and is cheaper to purchase.

Well, I'm off on a Saturday run for The Terminator in AZ. I'll bet I get to try my winch out! Never done that run, probably because I didn't have a winch.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Same winch here....been happy with it in general. My remote did the same thing, but I think it was my own fault. Think I left the winch flipped to wireless and the remote the same....draining the battery. Smitty was pretty easy to deal with in my case....they sent me a whole new control unit and remote.

I think this winch is a really good value for the money. I would have loved a Warn, but couldn't justify the added cost.

Let me know how yours holds up! I have a Warn on the front, but I like the idea of having one of these on a removable hitch setup for putting on the back (for bad situations!)
