I'm going to start out like Dirtman says, 33" tires and new wheels, then Bushwacker flat flares. Once I start adding bumpers and a possible rack, I'll reevaluate the need for a lift.

Been thinking of upgrading my lift. My Jeep came lifted. I'm guessing it's a 1.5" BB and 33x17" KM2.

I drag my belly alot, so I want to upgrade to 35" tires, and a coil lift (I also have bumpers and winch). I test fit my friend's 35s to get an idea.

I'm looking at a 2.5" coil lift. I'm also looking at getting the AEV control arm brackets to improve the ride. Aside from longer shocks/shock brackets, should I buy control arms? My rear tire is very close to my rock rails. Granted, this is on a 1.5" lift, but won't the taller lift pull the axle in more?

With the extra weight of stuff I figured I'd need a lift

@ DJ .. Yes it will, the brackets are enough for the front. Trim the seem for clearance. You should be ok at 2.5" as far as rear clearance. I would add a front TB and rear axle side TB bracket.
Swaybar end links as well. Rears can be run in front or quick discos. Source adjustable or 10-11" rear links.

Thanks for the info! I scored a slightly used TF 2.5 coil kit w/shocks, and the AEV brackets from the same guy. Bumpstops, RE front TB & rear TB bracket.

Can't wait to throw it on, and see how it looks. He also gave me some TF 3/4" poly spacers. I'm not sure whether to install those or not?

Thanks for the write up dirtman, I've only had my jku for about a year and just started looking at lift kits and everything you wrote made a lot of sense. I'm still learning about jeeps and this explained the suspension pretty good.

Holy Crap!!! I just read every singe post in this thread and I am mentally spent. I feel like I sat down and watched a 24-hour marathon on the Science Channel and Lifetime while flipping back-and-forth between the two.

Great information from everyone who managed to stay on topic and for that I am thankful as a new jeep owner. I'll be leveling mine via teraflex spacers since I will gain more with it having a 2015 JKUR with tow package over the Teraflex performance leveling kit (spring kit).

I need a nap now.

Looking to put on a 2.5 lift on my 2014 JKU. I am looking at the Teraflex 2.5 since it seems like its a solid "go to". However, I went to 4Wheelpart next to my house and they were pushing a 2.5 Procomp like crazy and the Rubicon Express. Plus they quoted me $1300 plus another $200 if I wanted a warranty. HA! I heard that they actually own Procomp....and the reviews of the lift were all but good. I'm not looking to 4wheel too much since I live in south FL. I am just wanting a modest lift, should I just go with the Teraflex BB or the Coil Lift?

Pro Comp and Rubicon Express are owned by 4WP/TransAmerica... among other popular brands.

I have a Rubicon Express 2.5" bb suspension lift and love it! I'm running 33x11.50" Terra grappler Nitto tires and love the way my jeep turned out! Perfect for every day driving and occasional fun😋 heres the link to the lift >> http://m.quadratec.com/products/prod...=16300+6011+07
