My thoughts on lifts
#522
I want to put a 2.5" lift (to replace my 1.75") on my JKU who already have 33" tires (Toyo Open Country AT2).
Can someone who have that set up, tell me the space in inches between the rear tires and bottom of fenders (in line with the center cap of the wheel) and also between the front tires and the bottom of fenders (in line with the center cap of the wheel)?
Thanks
*if the measures are from a stock jeep...even better

Overall lift will depend on factors like weight of the jeep and even the gas charge in the shocks. Asking a question like you did without specific info on brand and the weight of your jeep will yield poor answers. You can search thru the show treads for photos of just about every set up out there.
Are you looking at a specific coil lift or budget boost?

Again you are not specifying what lift or coils you are looking at. Depending on the brand you could see a range of 2"-4" in actual lift height with a 2.5" coil lift. You should also take measurements from a hard spot like between the bump stops or shock mounts not from the tires. Tires from different mfg's will have slightly different diameters as well and my vary by as much as 1.5". I believe in the stickies there is a diagram with measurements for a stock jeep.
