Go check out nittos YouTube channel. They used this tire on a bunch of jeeps on a trip to Alaska and they looked like they did an impressive job.

looking more for a second party evaluation. Not one from the manufacturer. Just noticed they were snow rated and wondered if they worked ok.

I have a set but no snow here yet!! 70 degrees today in Raleigh. I may know something in January but honestly we don't get much snow. I've subscribed because I'm interested.

I live in the UP of Michigan about as far north as you can get and my home is right on the lake superior shore and we get LOTS of snow. I hate to buy them and find out there as crappy as the bfg mud terrains on slippery roads. Mud terrains do great when theres a foot or more of snow to plow through but are about scary on slippery roads. Sipping helped but there still terrible. Problem come in deer season. Ive got some terrible mud holes to get through daily to hunt and bfg at's just didn't cut it for that. Bottom line is we don't measure snow in inches here. We measure it in feet and a GOOD 4 to 5 months a year we deal with snow covered roads.

Do they do a respectable job in mud??

The did great in mud. I had Trail Grapplers on my last Jeep and just put these in my new 2017 and they handled identical in deep mud to the Trail Grapplers but much quieter on the highway. I am very happy with them and am excited to test them in snow. I have had MTRs, KM2s, Trail Grapplers and now the ridge Grapplers and so far these are my favorites. Btw, they took almost no weight to balance them which is very unusual for a 35" tire.

thank you sir. That's good to know. Kind of tough for me. Ive been buying tires for 4x4s for over 35 years and have about exclusively bought bfg tires. Makes me kind of nervous to stray away to a different brand.

but, i dont recall seeing the ridge grapplers as "snow rated"
