Securing extended brakes lines on shocks or other option?
Hello JKers. I currently have my brake lines zip tied to my shocks but I don't like how they slip down at times and can see where they could get pinched in a spring. I thought I saw an aftermarket gismo at one time that was a better solution. Any thoughts or no of the gizmo I am talking about? Thanks

I saw this and thought these were a good idea. And for only $24. But, Holy Pony Express, Batman! $16.29 is the cheapest shipping option?
Where did you get yours from? I can't see me paying almost 70% more for it just to have it shipped to me. I'm surprised more places aren't selling them. They look awesome.

I fabricated something for my setup and you could probably reproduce it for your situation as well. I'm running the Rock Krawler extended brake lines and after doing the 1ton axle swap, my hard lines had to be modified due to the new placement of the calipers.I think the entire "creation" cost $3 per side and the pieces are bought at Home Depot.

The spring is a popular choice but I have never seen someone mount it like that. I typically see one end of the spring mounted to the frame and the other on the line but if it works, it works. Simple and cheap to do.

It actually works great to be quite honest. I've seen the same as you describe in a lot of buggies, but I just didn't like the idea of wrapping the spring entirely around the brake lines, so I added a "bushing" for the line to sit in to prevent something dumb from happening lol. It not only keeps the line out of the way but it slides back into place if the spring is pulled too hard. I sorta surprised myself on how well it worked crawling the rocks up at Rausch Creek.
