I just took mine off when I went to the 35's rather then trimming it. I like the looks of it. I seen one torn off when the Jeep was trying to get unstuck in the mud and when the Jeep went in reverse the airdam acted like a shovel....well.....a weak shovel.

Just take it off. It will not change any MPG's, looks better and if you ever actually use your jeep you will rip it off anyway.

I trimmed mine on day 2 running my 35s using an angle grinder and hack saw and went over with a file after to smooth the edges.

The tires rubbed with any flex at all.

Trimmed the wings off with some tin snips last night. Took less than 10 minutes. No more rubbing. That's what she said.

I trimmed mine using a sharp razor knife/box cutter.

Cut like butter

I trimmed mine first....but then ended up removing it.....

if you leave it on....you can always remove it this way....this was a stock rubi on one of our trail runs last year....

Dremel and a cut-off wheel to remove the wings. Big rock to remove the rest of it. Skip the dremel, just use a rock.

You really thing it does not do anything? I think it does, if chrysler could save a dollar the would not put it on.

Have you noticed that alot of car companies removed the cigarette lighter and ash tray, 250,000 cars at $1 a lighter, and $40 per ash tray....they save alot of money, plus the labor to install.

So do you think they would install 80,000 jk's a year with it, plus labor to install it if it does not surve a purpose?

It wouldn't surprise me with the poor engineering elsewhere on our JK's.

Don't give chrysler to much credit! They did give us a mini-van motor....

yup. history has proven that car makers (even with good intentions) don't always succeed... that's what 'recalls' are for
