Default New Member with a 2011 Jeep Rubicon 2 dr.

I live in bullhead City AZ. so there are a hundred off road trails here to explore. I just got a 2011 2 dr. rubicon t has 34,500 mi. I runs good and everything works I an get a extended warranty for 5 yrs. and 50,000 mi. its through a company by the name Zurich it cost 2,500 dollars I would like our thoughts if its a good or bad investment John

Hello John, congrats on the Jeep purchase and welcome to JK Forum.

Extended warranties are typically negotiable. I'd say shop around and get your best deal....just make sure to read the fine print.

This one was offered through the local jeep dealership. Just thought that for 2,500 $ I could do some upgrades and pay for repairs if they come up. Does off roading cause a lot of repair cost. John

You think like I do...never been much of an extended warranty guy.

It really depends on how hard you plan to run your Jeep offroad and what type of modifications you make. Things can and do break, offroading can certainly cause additional wear and tear on a vehicle.

You will get good knowledge here for good set up and things to avoid. Not an extended warranty guy here either, not off roading too hard.
