Roof rack question
Hey y'all. I want to put a roof rack on my 2010 JK. Since there are no rain gutters,I haven't seen a suitable roof mount. Has any one made their own? I want to be able to attach a cargo rack to the supports.
If anyone has done this,it might save me a lot of trial and error if I had some information on the way to do it. Stay Frosty.......

Here is an easy to install light duty roof rack, Smittybilt Defender. Saw this yesterday.

I just built my own too. I used the smittybilt brackets, it suppose to support up to 300lbs (I'll never put that on there). I was going to go with rails but you really have to look up the load rating on the rails, some rails will only support 88lbs-100lbs. with the weight of the rack that doesn't leave much for cargo. I have about 150.00 in mine with metal, paint, tabs, E-track...ect. I got the mount brackets for free so that saved me 100.00. I needed a low profile one so I could still fit in the garage and the ones for sale on the market were 7-1000.00 so it was just as easy for me to build it and I get what I want.

Warrior Products just released a new option about two weeks ago. You can buy the kit, just the platform, or just the mounts (in sets of 2 or 4).
- 100% Designed, Manufactured, and Welded in the USA.
- Currently available in 2″ and 4″ tall models so that you can choose the best height for your application. These universal mounts affix the popular Warrior Products Platform Roof Rack to your hard top.
- The unique universal mount design allows for the platform rack system to maintain a level surface – even when the mounts are affixed on a curved/angled roof.
- Drilling is required for installation when mounting the base; however, the base and tower are attached by a single bolt and the connection is isolated by polyurethane bushings. This allows for a robust connection that will pivot to accommodate curved and angled roof surfaces, and also allow easy removal of the platform by simply removing one bolt per tower. The base stays attached so that the drilled holes in the mounting surface remain sealed.
- Full line of accessories available, including: No-Drill Spare Tire Mount, Off-Road Jack Mount, Shovel & Axe Mount, and Platform Rack Air Dam.
